My smallest is Microwav.exe, which weighs in at just 3,072 bytes.
Not completely, though the trend is indisputable. Looking at my utilities
directory, I see Openpass (4,864 bytes), Scrnsave (9,216), vSubst (17,9200),
and SysRestorePoint (28672). There are a dozen more each under 50k.

Unfortunately, although UNetbootin has presets for 39 Linux apps, it
can only install and boot a single application per USB stick, even if
there is plenty of room left over. Any attempt to install another app
onto the stick will simply overwrite what's already there. There are
complicated workarounds but their instructions quickly frustrated me.

Thanks, but it doesn't work. Ubuntu has been uninstalled, but the entry
for Wubi persists. And Windows thinks it's perfectly okay, so I'm not
given the option of removing it.

I think that the smallest program I use regularly is ClipX -- 414 KB.
Another "tiny" program that I have, QuickPar -- 664 KB. And then
there's 7-zip, "just" 715 KB -- with almost 2 MB of support files.
The days of tiny utilities, hand-coded in C or even assembly language

Don't know any program, you can go through your installed programs, go
to their site & make a note of what version ( if any ) they require.
If it turns out, you have a version not required by any of your
programs, you can uninstall it. I use Revo.
