  installed &lt;br&gt; is &lt;br&gt; Thanks Tim, the xiph.org codec installation solved the problem. &lt;br&gt; I was already using 1.8 of the MadFLAC codec. I duplicated the problem on a &lt;br&gt; second &lt;br&gt; PC. Perhaps I&#39;ll look for a forum or similar where I can report my &lt;br&gt; observations.

  <title type="text">mp3&#39;s only playing part of the track</title>

  My mp3 tracks play for 01:24 or 01:03 and then go on to the next track. This &lt;br&gt; only happens with mp3&#39;s, not wma files. It happens with both Media Player and &lt;br&gt; Winamp. It doesn&#39;t happen with CD&#39;s I&#39;ve ripped straight onto this computer, &lt;br&gt; but does with all the other ones I&#39;ve copied across. All of the mp3&#39;s are of

  <title type="text">Forcing WMP to use the file names I have used</title>

  Did a clean install of XP and running WMP 11 with an Audigy ZS2 soundblaster &lt;br&gt; card. Get all the pc sounds and I can play my mp3 library with iTunes. When &lt;br&gt; trying a cd all WMP does is scan the tracks when I hit play, iTunes will &lt;br&gt; import it to my library and play it. Did an unistall/reinstall of WMP still
